In 1999, Council restructured the old Engineering/Works Department. They are:

DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE

The Department of Infrastructure is responsible for the following:

• Asset Management
• Design Services
• Environmental Engineering
• GIS/Mapping
• Stormwater Management
• Road and Traffic Safety
• Water Department Sewerage Services
• Depot, Store & Workshop Operations
• Plant/Fleet Management

DEPARTMENT OF OPERATIONS

The Department of Operations is responsible for the following:

• Airports
• Parks and Gardens
• Road Construction and Maintenance
• Swimming Pools
• Noxious Weeds
• Bushfire Control
• Drainage Construction & Maintenance
• Emergency Response Management
• Labour Market Programs
• Gravel Pit Management
• Roadside Vegetation Management

The Engineer's Office is open from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday,
