About the Library

The Parkes Shire Library Service has five libraries. A central library at Parkes and four branches at Bogan Gate, Peak Hill, Trundle and Tullamore. Locations and opening hours.

Joining Parkes Shire Library is FREE! All you need is identification that shows your name, address and signature. This could be a drivers license, health care card or firearms license. If a person under the age of 16 wishes to join the library they will need their parent or guardians consent. Frequently Asked Questions.

You can borrow a maximum of 20 items per library card, with a further restriction on 6 DVDs per card. You can borrow books, DVDs, music, magazines, large print, talking books and much more! Collections and Resources.

We also provide a number of services for the community, including storytime for children, professional searching, Internet access, wifi access, word processing, online training, online databases and printing. Services.
