Parkes NSW will host the Australian Nation Town Crier Championships from September 12 to 14.
These annual Championships will test the willower, physical stamina, voice projection and clarity of Town Criers competing.
Fifteen Town Criers will be competing for the title of Champion on Saturday 13 September at Cooke Park and the whole community is encouraged to come along and see what crying is all about.
There will be a panel of four judges that will each have specific roles. They will be listening for diction, content of cry, volume and clarity and also looking for spectacular presentation.
