Meetings & Agendas

Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Both meetings are ordinary meetings of Council and commence at 2.00pm. Depending on the volume of business to be considered, meetings normally conclude by 6.00pm.

Copies of Business Papers relating to the open sessions of the Council meetings are available for public inspection at the Administration Centre, usually after 4.00pm on the Friday preceeding the meeting. A copy is also available on Council's web site here: Council Agendas.

Members of the public are most welcome to attend the Council Meetings.

The Department of Local Government has produced a 'Practice Note' that helps to explain how Council Meetings are run. Parkes Shire Council has used this document to produce its own 'Code of Meeting Practice'. These document are available for download:
